ABOUT US

Established in 2012, the Centre for women and vulnerable children (CWVC) is an independent charity in Nigeria supporting education and literacy initiatives for children in underserved communities in different parts of the country. It is also focused on improving the health and wellbeing of citizens and ensuring access to quality healthcare services for people, particularly women and children in poor and marginalised communities in Nigeria. We work closely with civil society groups, academics, government organisations and healthcare providers.

CWVC’s Health initiative is aimed at improving the health and wellbeing and access to quality healthcare services for people, particularly women and children in poor and marginalised communities in Nigeria. We work at the individual, family and community levels in collaboration with CHWs, clinicians, community leaders and allied healthcare professionals to create innovative solutions and implement them in order to create healthy communities. Our work includes health awareness campaigns, vaccination programmes, health screening, improving of maternal and reproductive health, child health and nutrition.
